Lifou - The island of many faces
Originally known as Drehu, Lifou is the largest of the Loyalty Islands, being 1,150 km2 (larger than Martinique or Tahiti) and the most populated. Lifou was discovered by the French man Dumont d’Urville who was quickly followed by dozens of Catholic and Protestant missionaries.
